The company and its affiliates manage a fleet of more than 340,000 units, with operations or affiliates in 37 countries including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and United States. Company History
Algeco Scotsman, a privately held company, was created in 2007, when Williams Scotsman was acquired by a syndicate led by investment funds managed by TDR Capital LLP, a United Kingdom based investment fund manager (“TDR Capital”). TDR Capital merged Williams Scotsman with Algeco (which principally operated in continental Europe), and Elliott (which operated in the UK) to create Algeco Scotsman. Simultaneously, TDR Capital concluded its acquisition of the European assets formerly owned by GE Modular Space, which were also placed into the operating control of the Algeco Scotsman group. In 2012, Algeco Scotsman purchased the Brazilian firm, the Eurobras Group and Ausco Modular + Portacom Building Solutions in Australia and New Zealand, respectively. Algeco Scotsman´s worldwide corporate center is located in Baltimore, Maryland (USA).
